Surreal Killer

Its not the strangers you recall
Not the folks you worked with
It’s the ones you love completely
A friend who is true through and through
Your wife or husband who you know loves you
Your children who you would die for
And friends you would lie for
The ones with the couch you could lie on
The ones whos shoulder you could cry on
The people whose life is yours together
Destiny or faith aside, your souls were meant to collide
Regardless of the past, present, or future.
The best of memories from the worst of times – surreal
That cant happen with a stranger, coworker, or acquaintance.
The term “my friend” is used too loosely in this world
Not unlike the words “I love you”
